With over 30 years of experience in human resources and as an attorney, Diane is the founder and President of EP Advisors. Diane founded EP Advisors in 2004 after a twenty-year career in human resources and as in-house labor and employment counsel. Since 2004 she has been a professor in the M.B.A. program at St. Joseph’s College in New York. Prior to her position at St. Joseph’s, she spent over a decade as an adjunct professor in graduate programs throughout the New York metropolitan area.
An active member in community and professional organizations, Diane is admitted to the New York State Bar. She is a member of the New York State Bar Association. She is a member of the EEO Committee of the Labor and Employment Section of the New York State Bar Association. She is a frequent speaker and writer having spoken throughout the United States and internationally. Her articles have appeared in industry publications including HR Magazine, HR Advisor, The Journal of Private Equity, Law Technology News, The Journal of Corporate Renewal, and periodicals published by Dow Jones, Inc., Thomson-West and the New York State Bar Association. She has conducted numerous Continuing Legal Education programs for various Bar Associations throughout the country on the subjects of employment practices and workplace investigations and is considered an expert on the subject of workplace investigations.
She has authored nine books on the subjects of employment law and human resources including Workplace Investigations: Discrimination and Harassment and New York State Employer’s Legal Guide. She is past president of the Long Island Chapter of the American Society for Training and Development and is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) by the Human Resources Certification Institute and also holds her SHRM-SCP certification. She was awarded the New York State Liberty Award, one of New York’s highest civilian honors, for her Pro Bono work in Louisiana following the devastation of Hurricane Katrina.
Diane received her law degree, cum laude, from St. John’s University School of Law where she was awarded the ABA/BNA Award for Excellence in the Study of Labor and Employment Law. She is a graduate of New York Institute of Technology’s Center for Labor and Industrial Relations where she received her M.S., with distinction. She received her B.A. from S.U.N.Y. Potsdam, majoring in Industrial Labor Relations
